Company Solutions

Valens is the high-performance connectivity company, providing chipsets that allow for the flawless distribution of large amounts of data over long distances.

Operating in a fabless model, Valens has two main business units. The first is the newly formed Cross-Industry Business Unit, which encompasses Professional Audio-Video (verticals include video conferencing, education, digital signage, entertainment), Industrial (verticals include Industrial PCs and Machine Vision), and Medical (verticals include Medical Imaging and Endoscopes). The second business unit is Automotive (verticals include In-Cabin, ADAS, and Long Vehicles).

In Professional Audio-Video, Valens “set the standard” for wired high-performance connectivity with the creation of HDBaseT technology, which transmits various signals and power over a single long cable. Tens of millions of Valens chipsets are now deployed in millions of audio-video applications globally, across multiple verticals, an Valens boasts a customer base comprised of the world’s major consumer electronic companies. Valens is the incumbent provider of HDBaseT chipsets compliant with the HDBaseT standard, offering several lines of HDBaseT products tailored to meet evolving market demands. HDBaseT gained the Company a market leadership position in the professional audio-video market, providing exceptional digital experiences for which the technology was awarded multiple awards, including an Emmy award. The standard is backed by the HDBaseT Alliance, and co-managed by Valens, LG, Samsung and Sony Pictures. Valens is also leveraging its core technology to unlock new markets that have vast business potential, including industrial machine vision and medical endoscopies.

In the automotive industry, Valens once again “set the standard,” with its technology forming the basis for a new global standard for high-speed sensor connectivity offered by the MIPI Alliance. Valens is the first on the market to offer chipsets that comply with this standard and is thus a leading player in the growing ecosystem of companies adopting this technology. Dubbed MIPI A-PHY, the technology will serve as the basis for next-generation solutions that support higher levels of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (“ADAS”) and Automated Driving Systems (“ADS”); Valens’ MIPI A-PHY chipsets have earned three design wins from leading European automakers, while its first-generation of automotive chipsets have been on the road in Mercedes-Benz vehicles since 2020.

Across industries, Valens chipsets support the increasing need for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based applications. For example, commonly used remote communication platforms are increasingly integrating AI-based decision-making features that select the best view or audio of in-room participants from multiple cameras and audio sources, increasing the potential quality, clarity and resolution of the video and audio streams in the meeting and enabling better remote communication and collaboration. Valens connectivity solutions enable this evolution of AI-based applications, positioning Valens to capture growing business opportunities arising from this evolution.
